Welcome to Fort Garry Fire Trucks, Canada’s largest and oldest manufacturer of firefighting apparatus.
Established in 1919, our journey over the past 100 years has been marked by unwavering dedication to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, our reach extends not only across Canada but also to the United States and international territories, where our fire trucks endure the harshest weather, climates, and terrains.
In our centennial year of 2019, we celebrated a remarkable milestone, attributing our success to the steadfast support of our valued customers, the dedication of our employees, and the collaborative efforts of our suppliers. What began as a humble venture has evolved into an industry leader with a diverse product line that includes tandem tankers, custom-built pumpers, rescues, aerial ladders, and related firefighting equipment.
At the heart of our success lies one of the industry’s largest fire apparatus engineering departments. Our team is devoted to designing and producing equipment capable of withstanding the most extreme conditions globally. We proudly design and manufacture—what we call— “One Tough Truck,” a testament to our commitment to creating robust, reliable, and high-quality fire apparatus.
Since 1919, our Rubber Division has been a cornerstone of our operations, transforming into a full-service rubber manufacturing facility. From custom-designed steel and rubber molded products to relining hi-rail wheels for railways and producing rubber tarp straps, our Rubber Division showcases the craftsmanship that has grown with the company.
Fort Garry Fire Trucks made history by becoming the first North American emergency vehicle manufacturer to implement ISO standards into our manufacturing process. Achieving ISO 9001 certification in 1994 and upgrading it to ISO 9001-2015 in 2008, we consistently demonstrate our ability to provide products and services that meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements. Our commitment to quality, rigorous testing, and adherence to ISO standards sets us apart in North America.
Our dedication to the fire service is exemplified by our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, completed in January 2013. Every step of the manufacturing process is meticulously documented as part of our ISO 9001 rating, ensuring comprehensive records for future service and warranty needs.
We believe in building the strongest and highest-quality fire trucks in North America, emphasizing features over price. Our sales team engages in extensive consultations with customers, listening to their needs and customizing solutions. Our philosophy is clear: sales may sell the first truck, but it’s our exceptional service that sells all the rest.
